L'histoire
La famille Banks est dans de beaux draps. La nurse vient de donner sa démission, excédée par le comportement des enfants, Jane et Michaël. Et ni M. Banks, banquier d'affaire, ni son épouse, occupée par ses activités politiques, n'a le temps de s'occuper de ces petits garnements. Ces derniers rédigent alors une annonce pour trouver une nouvelle nurse. Mary Poppins répond et sera engagée dès le lendemain. Avec sa bonne humeur et son savoir-faire, elle va transformer le quotidien de toute la famille.
